Windows Alpha Blender

Another one for the free and shareware lovers!

A regular issue for those doing screen recording or screen capturing is the problem of CCTV Players not playing the video back in the correct size or aspect ratio.

If you can export or obtain an image that is in the correct resolution then you are halfway there.

DM DAT files are our usual suspects for this..

I open the file in the player and it opens very distorted. The player can be resized freely but how do I know what is right.

I use ImageJ to open the Dat file and it displays the first jfif image. It displays the size as 720x256.

I double the pixel height to duplicate that of the player and the image displays in its correct aspect ratio.

I now open the dat file in its player and then using Alpha blender, I alter the transparency of the top window to reveal the image underneath. I marry the two using edges and corners of obejcts and then voila...my player is set to the correct size.

Capture commences!
