Sprint’s recent roaming agreement with Verizon Wireless opens the door for many more potential customers, and products like this one are likely to get them to step on through that door. The Linksys Wireless G router for Sprint Mobile Broadband allows you to share your Sprint EvDO connection with others via Wi-Fi, and also serves as a full-duplex 10/100 switch.
 EvDO Rev A provides a maximum download data rate of 3.1Mbps and a max upload rate of 1.8Mbps, a significant jump from even Rev 0…let alone 1xRTT or EDGE. While typical data rates average around 1Mbps, that’s still several hundred kbps above the rest. We’re starting to see Sprint & Verizon Wireless’ prices come down for broadband data, with retail unlimited plans now making it below $60/mo; devices like this one make that cost easily justifiable.
From home networking to emergency incident command centers, this one’s got potential.
